Our Group met on Thursday, March 20th at Town Hall at 6 p.m.
Those present were Christine Welborn ( The Book Rack), Diane Strouse ( Consignment Unlimited), Tami Langdon ( formerly Davie School of Dance), and Leon Carter ( CDC and Historic Davie).
We keep trying to get you folks to come to these meetings OR at least email, call, see your neighbor retailer…let US hear your THOUGHTS AND SUGGESTIONS. Is there a better time for you folks to meet?????????? TELL US.
We have interest in the Yadkin Valley Living Magazine due out in May; cut off date is April 4th. Right Now Ms. Judy’s Dolls, Counter Point Music, and perhaps Diane and Christine. I need a TOTAL OF 5 Merchants for this ad.
Christine mentioned other retailers NOT in the Downtown to be offered this advertisement opportunity; she is going to contact these retailers. Diane and she suggested we go by Historic Mocksville Association so we can attract more folks to our membership and meetings so we are now HISTORIC MOCKSVILLE ASSOCIATION.
Spring is here; I am going to email membership invoices and deliver hard copy as well. Please, join this Association; we are VITAL to this community and your voice is IMPORTANT so we can change, grow, move ahead with Mocksville and our businesses.
Also with Spring here…we need to keep our front door steps tidy and inviting to the public. If someone needs support with the outside façade of your building or to set up your front window displays…email us or call me at 336-909-2263.
Don’t forget Daniel Boone Family Festival on Sat., May 3rd….craft vendors draw business to your door steps….I think Michelle at Twins Upholstery has had a wonderful outdoor display with the last few Festivals.
Also, the Bike Criterium is Tuesday, July 29th.
We hope to have a Concert on the Square…maybe 2; IF YOU KNOW OF A BUSINESS OR 2 that would like to sponsor these concerts…AGAIN, CALL ME.
Don’t forget folks, Mary Lou at Happy House Miniatures has closed; they have sold some of their inventory. Perce and Mary Lou still have a few dollhouses and inventory. Make sure you go by to say good-bye to these folks….26 YEARS AS A DOWNTOWN MERCHANT….THANKS, MS. MARY LOU.
